U of S Range Team places second in competition

At the Undergraduate Range Management Exam (URME) in St. George, Utah the U of S Range Team placed second against over 24 universities across North America.

Held during the 70th Annual Society for Range Management (SRM) annual meeting, January 29 to February 2, 2017,  the URME tests students’ knowledge on a broad are of rangeland topics including range ecology, grazing management, range improvement, and range inventory and analysis.

This is the first time the U of S Range Team has placed this high in the URME. In addition to the team's win, team member Jade Marshall, finished second out of 198 students writing the exam. 

The team meets weekly with their team coach, Nadia Mori, to practice, study and enhance their knowledge on the area of rangeland management.
