Congress of the International Farm Management Association to convene at the University of Saskatchewan
The International Farm Management Association (IFMA) is pleased to announce that the 24th Congress of the International Farm Management Association will be held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, July 7-12, 2024.
Celebrating the 24th Congress in the year 2024, the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Agriculture and Bioresources is pleased to host farm management professionals and academics for a week of sharing research and best practices in farm management. The theme of IFMA24 is "Resilience Through Innovation." This theme underscores the vital role of innovative practices in building resilience within the agricultural sector.
Against the backdrop of Saskatchewan's rich agricultural heritage and pioneering spirit, the congress will provide a platform for experts, practitioners, and stakeholders to delve into the latest strategies, technologies, and solutions that promote resilience-driven farm management. With plenary and symposium sessions, attendees will have the chance to share their research and experiences with others from around the world.
Attendees can expect a comprehensive program featuring insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and engaging sessions focused on farm management practices, agricultural sustainability, technological advancements, and much more.
Key highlights of IFMA24 include:
- Expert-led sessions covering a wide range of topics including agricultural economics and finance, precision farming, agribusiness management, environmental stewardship, resilience of family farming and personal resilience, including mental health.
- Panel discussions featuring industry experts sharing insights and strategies for implementing innovative solutions to foster resilience at the farm and community levels.
- Themed tours on July 9 and 11 to various agricultural sites and businesses surrounding Saskatoon, showcasing the innovations and resilience our province and its producers exhibit.
- Each IFMA Congress is known for being a networking event, providing attendees with ample opportunities to connect, share experiences, and build valuable professional relationships with others from around the world.
