Celebrating Black History Month at USask

SASKATOON – Members of the media are invited to attend a special Black History Month launch event at the University of Saskatchewan (USask).

Black History Month at USask honours the legacy and contributions of members of the university’s Black community. It is a time to listen to and learn about the accomplishments and lived experiences of the Black community.

To recognize and celebrate the beginning of Black History Month, join the USask community for a kick-off event that will inspire our power to collectively shape the future by exploring and celebrating the unique contributions of the Black community across all disciplines.

This year’s theme is Celebrating Black Experiences: Arts, Literature and More. In a short speaker program, you will hear from USask students, faculty and staff about the importance of Black History Month, the work of the Black Faculty and Staff Caucus on the USask campus, and more.
