FREE: Food Is Too Expensive
Gardening General
Food is Too Expensive! is a timely webinar exploring why food prices across Canada keep climbing, and what that means for community food security. Drawing on recent research, we’ll unpack the structural causes of food insecurity and highlight the international and regional strategies grassroots organizers are using to push back. We’ll look at how community organizations, mutual aid groups, and homegrown gardeners are stepping up to support families and neighbours. The session will also introduce the University of Saskatchewan’s Food is Too Expensive website, a practical hub showcasing real strategies people are using to stay fed in challenging times. Join us for a grounded, hopeful conversation about collective action and community resilience.
