Graduate Student Travel Award
Each year the committee offers one Travel Award to a Masters or Ph.D. student who shows exceptional educational studies and research in the areas of soils, crops or economics. The winner of the award is voted on by the Soils and Crops organizing committee.
The award is open to students studying outside of the Province of Saskatchewan. The winner of the travel award will give an oral presentation of their research on the first day of the conference. The monetary award of up to $1500, is intended to help cover the costs of trip expenses (ie. flights, hotels, food). The winner of the travel award can attend both days of the conference. The two day conference fee is waived by the committee.
To apply for the award, applicants must send their CV, trip budget and an abstract (<350 words) to the graduate student representative on the Soils and Crops Organizing Committee. Note: Please do not submit an abstract, via the online form, unless you are planning on attending the conference regardless of the Travel Award decision outcome. Poster presenters are not eligible for the award.
This award is sponsored by the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
