The name ē kanātahk askiy was gifted to our project through ceremony by Elder Margaret Larocque. It is a phrase in ᓀᐦᐃᔭᐍᐏᐣ nēhiyawēwin that can be translated to "it is a clean earth." We have taken this as a call to action to guide our work.Soil and Agroecosystem (SAGE) Health Project
The ē kanātahk askiy SAGE project aims to establish a network to share knowledge of soil and agroecosystem health from Indigenous and western science perspectives for First Nations across the prairies.
