Weed Science Research Program

 

Our research aims both to improve our understanding of the basic biological and ecological principles that govern weed population dynamics and to develop highly efficacious weed control technologies. As such, our lab places a heavy emphasis on weed biology and ecology, but also works on various tactics to manage weeds, including herbicides. Current research focuses on plant interactions (competition and cooperation), seed bank ecology (including seed predation), and integrated weed management.
