Marjorie Putt established this award in honour of her late husband, Dr. Eric Putt who held a distinguished career in sunflower research.

This scholarship is to promote academic excellence of a graduate student in the department of Plant Sciences with a research focus on speciality crops.

One annual award is available per year. In order to be eligible, applicants must:

  • be a full-time graduate student in the department of Plant Sciences,
  • submit a brief statement indicating their interest in speciality crop research (statement section is included in the application below)
