Chantal Krauter 2016 IRC Summer Student

Chantal is spending her summer working on a 6 credit thesis project determining the impact of gizzard size on feed efficiency, gut health, and the incidence of focal duodenal necrosis (FDN) in pullets fed diets with different calcium sources and periods on a pre-lay ration.

She was raised on a farm new Young, SK, and spends her free time with her horses or helping on the farm. Most of Chantal's work experience has been with cattle and other large animals, so she is looking forward to a new experience this summer!
